San Diego County Medical Examiner Identifies Woman Killed in El Cajon Crash
El Cajon, California: The San Diego County Medical Examiner identified the 70-year-old woman who died earlier this month in a crash in El Cajon as Marilynn Asch.
The accident happened on May 3 at around 1 p.m. near Soldin Lane and Olde Highway 80.
Police, firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene after receiving reports of the crash.
The responders found Asch unresponsive with serious injuries. Paramedics rushed the woman to a local hospital for treatment, including surgery. She failed to respond to treatment and died two weeks later, on May 16, at around 1 a.m. She died from blunt force injury, according to the Medical Examiner.
Investigators said Asch was driving her Infiniti sedan northbound on Soldin when she collided with another car heading westbound on Olde Highway 80.
