Yadira Pineda Killed in Fresno Crash at Clovis and American
Fresno, California – 32-year-old Yadira Ruby Pineda has been identified as the woman killed in a suspected DUI crash that happened on Wednesday evening in Fresno.
The accident was reported at around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Clovis and American avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
31-year-old Jesus Acevedo- Arana was driving a Honda Accord at a high rate of speed when he crashed into the rear of a box truck.
Ruby was a passenger in the Honda and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Arana and the truck driver were both hurt.
Authorities say Arana could face felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter charges once released from hospital.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
