Lake Mathews, California – A driver was critically injured in a traffic collision that happened on Tuesday evening in Lake Mathews.
The accident was reported around 7:30 p.m. on La Sierra Avenue near Cajalco Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man was driving a Toyota Corolla southbound on La Sierra when he drifted into the northbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming Tesla.
The Toyota driver was found unresponsive and was transported to a regional trauma center in critical condition.
Four juveniles in the Tesla were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
