1 Dead After Truck Driver Runs Stop Sign in Buckeye

Buckeye, Arizona: One person died, and a car was left pinned underneath a semi-truck after a driver ran a stop sign Thursday morning in Buckeye.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the wreck occurred around 6 a.m. at milepost 152 near Southern Avenue.

Investigators believe the driver of a semi-truck ran a stop sign to turn onto Southern Avenue from the SR-85 when a car crashed into the truck.

The car ended up completely wedged underneath the truck.

One person died at the scene.

Additional injuries were reported.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
