1 Killed, 3 Injured in Long Beach Crash at Pacific Coast Highway and Junipero Avenue
1 Dies in Wrong-Way Crash at PCH and Junipero Avenue in Long Beach
Long Beach, California – A driver was killed in a wrong-way car crash on Thursday night in Long Beach.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, the accident happened at around 7:19 p.m. at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Junipero Avenue.
An SUV was traveling westbound on PCH when it drifted into the westbound lanes and struck three other vehicles.
The male driver of the SUV, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Three other male occupants of the other vehicles were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Both directions of PCH were closed from Junipero Avenue to Cherry Avenue as the scene was cleared.
