Amador County, California (June 26, 2023) – At least seven people were hospitalized after being injured in a car crash near Jackson in Amador County on Sunday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened in the area of Latrobe Road and Lorentz Road.
A 2004 Honda Civic was traveling northbound on Latrobe Road when it drifted into the southbound lanes and collided with a 2002 Toyota Tacoma.
The driver of the Honda and a passenger were airlifted to UC Davis Medical Center and Kaiser in south Sacramento.
Five other people were hospitalized with unspecified injuries.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
