Carlsbad, California – A driver was injured in a suspected DUI head-on collision early Friday morning near Carlsbad in San Diego.
The accident happened on the southbound side of Interstate 5 Freeway near Cannon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A black truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with a car with two occupants.
The driver of the second car was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in the car was unhurt.
The wrong-way driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
