Coachella, California – One was seriously injured after being struck by a car near Coachella on Monday morning.
The collision happened around 8:15 a.m. at Cesar Chavez Street and Avenue 50, according to the e Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say a vehicle became disabled on the roadway and a second motorist stopped to assist.
The victim was standing in the roadway and was struck by a third vehicle.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital for treatment.
