Keyes, California – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a car on Monday morning near Keyes.
The auto-pedestrian accident happened around 5:38 a.m. on southbound Highway 99 near the offramp for East Keyes Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Police say it appears the man was exiting their vehicle and was struck by a passing vehicle.
The victim suffered major injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
