1 Injured in Rancho Cordova Crash on Highway 50 near Sunrise Avenue
Rancho Cordova, California (November 1, 2023) – One person was hospitalized after being injured in a multi-vehicle collision in Rancho Cucamonga.
The collision happened on eastbound Highway 50 near Sunrise Avenue at around 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A man was driving a Toyota Tacoma at a high rate of speed when he veered to the right and sideswiped a Subaru Forester. The impact of the collision sent the Toyota Tacoma up a dirt embankment where it struck a Toyota 4-Runner and both overturned.
A Toyota Corolla, Subaru Outback, Toyota Camry and Toyota Tundra were also struck by either the Tacoma or the 4-Runner.
The driver of the Toyota 4-Runner suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
