Bicyclist Critically Injured in Collision on Willow Road in San Diego

1 Injured in San Ysidro Bicycle Accident on Willow Road
San Diego, Calif. – A 30-year-old man suffered major injuries after being hit by a car as he rode a bicycle in San Ysidro on Wednesday evening.
The bicycle accident happened around 5:41 p.m. on 200 Willow Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 1996 Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Willow Road when it struck a bicyclist head-on.
The bicyclist suffered major injuries including an open right femur fracture and a fractured hand and was transported to the hospital for treatment.
The Honda driver and his passengers were unhurt.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
