Santa Ana, California – A sedan driver died and a passenger was hospitalized after colliding with a cement truck on Saturday morning in Santa Ana.
The fatal crash happened on Highway 555 at 2400 E. 17th Street at around 8 a.m., according to Santa Ana police.
A car was exiting SR 55 at a high rate of speed and crashed into a cement truck stopped in the left turn lane.
The driver of the sedan was killed in the accident.
A female passenger in the car was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
The truck driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the authorities.
