Santa Barbara, California – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a car on Tuesday evening in Santa Barbara.
The pedestrian accident happened around 6 p.m. on Hollister Avenue at Auhay Drive, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
The 68-year-old man was in the crosswalk when he was struck by a Buick sedan.
The pedestrian suffered major injuries and was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
