1 Injured in Semi-Truck Collision on SR-98 and SR-7
Calexico, California (May 9, 2023) – One person was injured in a semi-truck collision that transpired Monday afternoon in Calexico, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP officers received reports of the accident at around 1:36 p.m. on State Route 98 at State Route 7.
First responders found a white Toyota Camry and a big rig involved in the collision.
The Camry had its airbags deployed in the crash.
Paramedics responded to the scene and helped the driver of the Camry, who suffered minor injuries.
Both vehicles were towed away from the collision.
The semi-truck was transporting 40,000 Lbs of an unknown load.
CHP is investigating the accident.
