1 Injured in Wildomar Crash on 15 Freeway near Main Street

Lake Elsinore, California – One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred in Lake Elsinore on Monday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred on Interstate 15 Freeway near Main Street at around 6 a.m.

A black Infiniti Q60 reportedly collided with a white Toyota Camry on the roadway in unclear circumstances.

The impact caused the Camry to spin out into the center divider, where it struck a wall and came to rest on its wheels. Meanwhile, the Q60 was propelled off the roadway and down an embankment where it collided with a eucalyptus tree and a fence before skidding on its roof into two more cars parked on private property.

The 33-year-old Wildomar man driving the Q60 had to be extricated before being transported to Inland Valley Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

More details about the collision were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
