1 Killed, 1 Critically Injured in North Hollywood Crash on 170 Freeway at Magnolia Blvd

Los Angeles, California – A man was killed and three people including an infant were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Sunday evening in North Hollywood, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

At around 8:27 p.m., the department responded to a collision with entrapment on the Hollywood (SR170) Freeway at Magnolia Boulevard off-ramp.

A woman driving a gray sedan reportedly ran a red light at the intersection and hit a Honda CRV.

The 35-year-old female driver of the Honda and the 40-year-old man had to be freed from the overturned car before being taken to a trauma center in critical condition.

The unidentified man later succumbed to his injuries.

A 10-month-old baby in the same car was transported to Pediatric Trauma Center in an undetermined condition.

The driver of the gray sedan was hospitalized in fair condition. She is expected to survive.

It is unknown at this time if alcohol or drugs played a role in the collision.

The CHP West Valley division is investigating the accident.
