1 Killed, 2 Injured in Vina Crash on Highway 99 near Tehama Vina Road
Vina, California – At least one person was injured in a traffic collision that happened near Vina in Tehama County on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Highway 99 near Tehama Vina Road at around 1:48 p.m.
43-year-old Andre Tucker of Chico was driving a 1997 Ford Expedition southbound on Highway 99 when he lost control and collided with a 2015 Honda Accord.
The Expedition traveled out of control and slammed head-on into a 2012 Toyota Prius that was traveling northbound on Highway 99
The 22-year-old Chico woman driving the Prius was killed in the accident.
The 56-year-old woman who was driving the Accord was transported to Enloe Health for treatment of her injuries.
Tucker was transported to Enloe Health for treatment of his injuries before he was arrested on suspicion of DUI and booked into the Tehama County Jail.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.

Sacramento County, California: Two people were seriously injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Antelope.
According to the Sacramento Metro Fire District, the accident occurred around 1:50 p.m. at Antelope and Roseville roads.
Three vehicles collided, trapping two occupants in the wreckage.
Firefighters responded to the scene and freed the victims. The patients were taken to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.

Kenneth Joseph McLeod Killed in Irvine Motorcycle Accident
Irvine, California: 65-year-old Kenneth Joseph McLeod died after he collided with a car while riding a motorcycle Wednesday afternoon at an intersection in Irvine.
The accident was reported around 4:50 p.m. at Alton Parkway and Foster.
Investigators said McLeod was riding a motorcycle southbound on Alton when he ran a red light at Foster and crashed into a Tesla turning left from northbound Alton onto westbound Foster.
The Tesla had a green light at the time of the crash.
McLeod died at the scene from the injuries he sustained in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Woman Hospitalized After Victorville Pedestrian Accident at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road
Woman on Motorized Wheelchair Hit and Injured by Car in Victorville
Victorville, California: A woman riding a motorized wheelchair was injured when she was hit by a car Thursday morning at an intersection in Victorville.
The accident was reported around 8:48 a.m. at Roy Rogers Drive and Amargosa Road.
Victorville police, firefighters, and AMR responded to the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
A man driving a black Nissan was found at the scene but it was not clear if he was the driver involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
