1 Killed, 3 Hurt in Big Rig Accident on Highway 138 in Lancaster
Lancaster, California: One person died, and three others were injured in a big rig accident that happened Tuesday morning near Lancaster.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place around 7:22 a.m. on Highway 138 at 90th Street.
Investigators said a 2005 Toyota was traveling south on 90th Street, and a 2015 Freightliner was heading west on Highway 138 when the vehicles collided.
The driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two juveniles in the Toyota were airlifted to Northridge Hospital Medical Center with major injuries.
The semi-truck driver was transported to Antelope Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
Intoxication is not believed to be a contributing factor.
