Woman Dies in Collision at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street in La Palma

1 Killed, 3 Injured in La Palma Crash at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street

La Palma, California – A woman in her 60s was killed and three other people were injured in a crash that occurred on Wednesday afternoon in La Palma.

The crash happened around 12:40 p.m. at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street.

A pursuit started at North Gilbert Street and West Malvern Avenue when a detective noticed a theft of a white Nissan Rogue.

The suspect, 46-year-old Anthony Hanzal of Anaheim, drove away and was first involved in a non-injury crash near Brookhurst Road and Orangethorpe Avenue.

Hanzal did not stop and the pursuit continued on westbound of 91 Freeway.

The chase ended at La Palma Avenue and Moody Street when the suspect collided with a BMW.

The woman driving the BMW was killed in the crash.

Hanzal and two other people were taken to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.

More details about the accident were not provided.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
