1 Person Dies, 4 Hospitalized After Sanger Car Accident on Highway 180 near Bethel Avenue
1 Killed, 4 Injured in Fiery Crash on Highway 180 in Sanger
Sanger, California: One person was killed, and four others were hospitalized after a rear-end collision that happened early Wednesday morning near Sanger in Fresno County.
The wreck took place at around 3 a.m. on Highway 180, just west of Bethel Avenue.
According to authorities, a Dodge Charger rear-ended a Honda Odyssey as the vehicles were traveling eastbound.
The Odyssey went off the roadway and hit a tree, bursting into flames.
One person in the Odyssey died at the scene.
Four occupants in the Charger were hospitalized at Community Regional Medical Center with unspecified injuries.
Speed is being investigated as a possible contributing factor.
Investigators shut down Highway 180 between Indianola and Bethel avenues as they worked the scene.
