1 Killed in Antioch ATV Crash on Deer Valley Road
Antioch, California: One person died, and another was injured when an ATV collided with a car Saturday night near Wildflower in Antioch.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said the accident was reported at around 9:30 p.m. on Deer Valley Road.
A caller said the crash involved an ATV, a car, and a pole with ejection. The ATV was also reported to be on fire and with major damage.
A medical helicopter was requested.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found a bystander performing CPR on one person.
The air ambulance was requested to land in a vacant field near the Safeway Parking lot.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another person was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
The Antioch Police Department is investigating the accident.
