Atascadero, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a car on Friday night in Atascadero.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m. on El Camino Real near the intersection of San Gabriel Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pedestrian was reportedly struck by a car on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
First responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. The identity of the man was withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
