1 Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Highway 155 near Sawmill Road
Bakersfield, California – A man was killed in a car accident that left a woman seriously injured on Tuesday night in Bakersfield.
The fatal collision happened around 10:15 p.m. in the area of Highway 155 near Sawmill Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Toyota Prius was traveling westbound on Highway 155 when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Impala.
The 44-year-old Bakersfield man who was driving the Toyota was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The 34-year-old Bakersfield woman suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to Kern Medical for treatment.
