1 Killed in Burbank Car Crash on Vanowen Street near Hollywood Way
Burbank, California – A driver was killed and another was injured in a violent car crash on Saturday night in Burbank.
The Burbank Police Department says the fatal accident happened on Vanowen Street near Hollywood Way at around 11:15 p.m.
Two cars were traveling eastbound on Vanowen Street at a high rate of speed when they collided near Hollywood Way.
One of the cars careened into an electrical pole and fire hydrant after the collision.
Both drivers were ejected from the cars and one was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver sustained moderate injuries and was treated at the scene by the paramedics before being taken to the hospital for treatment.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
