1 Killed in Fremont Car Crash on Interstate 680 near Mission Boulevard
Fremont, California – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal multi-vehicle collision that happened on Thursday morning in Fremont.
The collision was reported at around 7:05 a.m. on southbound Interstate Highway 680 near Mission Boulevard.
A big rig was hauling a load of meat when it failed to stop for slowed traffic and slammed into a Toyota Venza.
CHP says the truck then hit three other vehicles and went down an embankment on the right-hand shoulder of the highway.
The Venza driver was killed in the crash.
Two other parties were hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the crash were not provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
