1 Killed in Fremont Pedestrian Accident on I-880
Fremont, California: One person died in an auto-pedestrian accident that happened early Wednesday morning in Fremont, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred at about 12:26 a.m. on Interstate 880 near Mowry Road.
CHP said a pedestrian was walking in traffic lanes for unknown reasons when they were hit by a car.
The victim died at the crash scene.
Police shut down all lanes except for the far left as they investigated. The lanes were reopened at around 2:05 a.m.
