1 Killed in Fresno Bicycle Accident at Kaviland and Cedar Avenues
Fresno, California (August 22, 2023) – A bicyclist died after crashing into a truck on Monday afternoon in Fresno.
The fatal collision was reported around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Kaviland and Cedar avenues, near Calwa Elementary School.
The 35-year-old man was riding a mountain bike southbound in a paved sidewalk when he made a left turn directly into the path of a 2017 Kenworth truck that was traveling southbound on Cedar Avenue.
The trailer’s right-side tires drove over the bicyclist.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
