Fresno, California – Authorities are investigating a fatal car crash that happened on Wednesday evening in Fresno.
The accident was reported around 5:45 p.m. in the area of Clovis and American Avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The officers who responded to the incident found a Honda Civic had rear-ended a box truck. The Honda is believed to have been traveling at a high rate of speed before the crash.
A passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The Honda driver was transported to the hospital with major injuries.
