Fresno County, California – A 53-year-old man was killed and a woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Fresno on Monday afternoon.
The fatal accident occurred around 1:30 p.m., at Kamm and Jameson avenues, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was driving an SUV on Jameson when he failed to stop at the stop sign and collided with a semi-truck.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles into an almond orchard.
The SUV driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver, a 70-year-old woman, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
