Fresno County, California – One person was killed in a head-on collision that happened on Sunday morning in Fresno.
The fatal collision happened around 5:30 a.m. on Highway 180 and George Smith Road near Yokuts Valley, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 30-year-old man from Sanger was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound on Highway 180 when he drifted into the westbound lane and collided head-on with a 2017 Toyota Tundra.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver and passenger of the Toyota were hospitalized with minor to moderate injuries.
Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
