1 Killed in Fresno County Crash on Highway 180 near Armstrong Avenue
Fresno County, California (November 5, 2023) – One person was killed in a wrong-way crash that happened in Fresno County on Saturday morning.
At around 12:25 a.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a car accident on Highway 180, east of Armstrong Avenue.
30-year-old Vikash Kumar of Fresno was driving a 2023 Honda Accord eastbound in the westbound lanes of Highway 180 and collided with a 2016 Buick Enclave driven by a 33-year-old man from Madera.
A male passenger in the Honda was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
Kumar was transported to an area hospital with major injuries.
Neither the Buick’s driver nor his 26-year-old female passenger were seriously injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
