1 Killed in Head-On Collision on Shore Road in San Benito
San Benito County, California – A 20-year-old Los Banos man was killed and another person was injured in a head-on collision that happened on Wednesday morning in San Benito County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 3:55 a.m. on Shore Road near Lake Road.
The Los Banos man was driving a Toyota Camry eastbound on Shore Road when he crossed the double yellow line into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a westbound car driven by 67-year-old Delbert Perry.
The Los Banos man was rushed to Hazel Hawkins Hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries before arrival.
Delbert sustained minor injuries and was taken to Natividad Hospital.
Police did not suspect impairment to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
