Contra Costa, California – One person was killed in a collision that left two others injured in Discovery Bay on Wednesday morning.
The accident was reported around 7:10 a.m. on Highway 4 near Discovery Bay Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
An Acura with two occupants was traveling westbound on Highway 4 when it drifted into the opposite lanes and collided head-on with a Ford F-350 pickup truck.
A passenger in the Acura was killed in the accident, while the driver was hospitalized with major injuries.
Authorities say the pickup truck driver was unhurt, but a passenger was hospitalized with minor injuries.
