1 Dies After Head-On Crash on Interstate 84 near Northeast 162 Avenue
Portland, Oregon – One person died following a head-on crash on Saturday morning in Portland.
According to the Portland Police Bureau, the deadly collision was reported at around 1:32 a.m. June 29, on Interstate 84 near Northeast 162 Avenue.
Authorities said a vehicle was heading east in the westbound lanes of I-84 when it crashed head-on into an approaching car.
The driver of the westbound car was rushed to the hospital where they later died.
The other motorist sustained injuries and was hospitalized.
Police closed part of westbound I-84 to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
