Long Beach, California – One person was killed in a collision involving a semi-truck at an intersection on Tuesday morning in Long Beach.
The fatal collision at the intersection of Harbor Avenue and Anaheim Street around 8:05 a.m., according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The driver of a westbound 2012 Toyota Camry made an illegal left turn from Anaheim onto Harbor and crashed into a westbound semi-trailer truck.
The Toyota driver was transported to the hospital where he died while receiving treatment.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner did not disclose the name of the victim.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
