Sun City Palm Desert, California: 80-year-old Sam Karagavoorian died when his golf cart collided with a car Thursday afternoon at an intersection in Sun City Palm Desert.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m. at Mojave Sage Street and Bonanza Drive.

Karagavoorian was driving a golf cart when he collided with a vehicle at the intersection.

Emergency personnel transported Karagavoorian to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

No other details were given but an investigation is ongoing.
