South Los Angeles, California – A pedestrian died after being struck by a Metro A Line train on Friday afternoon in South Los Angeles.
The fatal accident happened around 2 p.m. at the intersection of Long Beach and Vernon avenues.
The Metro A (Blue) Line light rail train was heading southbound when it hit a pedestrian.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to the crash and found the pedestrian under the train.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
All 42 passengers on the train were uninjured.
