1 Killed in Modesto Crash at Geer Road and Yosemite Boulevard
Stanislaus County, California – A man was killed in a traffic collision that left a firefighter injured early Tuesday morning in Modesto.
The fatal collision happened around 1:40 a.m. near Geer Road and Yosemite Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 32-year-old man was driving a Ford sedan when he ran a red light and hit the right side of a Ford SUV driven by Paul Spani.
The sedan driver was killed in the accident.
Spani, a firefighter with Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
