Modesto, Calif. – A man died after being hit by a car early Thursday morning in Modesto.
The pedestrian accident happened on Highway 33 just north of McCracken Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Stockton man was driving a car southbound on the highway when he collided with a car.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
