1 Killed in Moorpark Crash on Highway 118 near Balcom Canyon Road
Moorpark, California – One person was killed in a head-on collision that happened on Thursday afternoon in Moorpark.
The fatal collision happened around 3:15 p.m. on Highway 118 near Balcom Canyon Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A black Ford Raptor pickup truck, a black Honda Civic and a white Ford Transit-250 van were traveling eastbound when they came upon slow traffic.
The Raptor and the Civic slowed down, but the driver of the Ford Transit van was slow to react and veered to the left and hit the Civic.
The van drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Toyota Highlander.
The driver of the Toyota Highlander was killed in the accident.
