Santa Cruz, California – One person is dead following a motorcycle accident that happened at an intersection in Santa Cruz on Sunday evening.
At around 7:36 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a motorcycle accident on eastbound Highway 129 at Murphy Road.
A motorcycle and a car were involved in the collision, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately established.
A helicopter landed at the scene and airlifted one person to Natividad Hospital for treatment.
Authorities say one person was killed in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
