1 Killed in Multi-Car Collision on Highway 65 in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California: One person died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday evening on Highway 65 north of Bakersfield, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported around 6:22 p.m. just south of Sherwood Avenue.
A full-size van, a small pickup truck, and a sedan were involved in the collision. The sedan and the pickup truck went about 20 feet down an embankment after the impact.
CHP said one person was killed in the crash.
At least one other person sustained unspecified injuries.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
