Newark, California – One person was killed in a car accident on Sunday afternoon in Newark.
The accident happened around 1:22 p.m. on the westbound lanes of Highway 84 at Ardenwood Historic Farm, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A blue Honda sedan lost control in the westbound lane and crashed into the center divider of the highway.
The 29-year-old Hayward man who was driving the Honda died at the accident scene.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
