Oakland, California (November 4, 2023) – A pedestrian died after being struck by an Amtrak train on Friday night in Oakland.
The fatal collision happened at 49th Avenue at around 7 p.m. according to the Oakland Fire Department.
The female pedestrian was struck by an Amtrak train on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau did not disclose the identity of the victim pending notification of the next of kin.
