Orangevale, California – One person was killed and another was injured in a car accident that occurred on Friday night in Orangevale.
The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Greenback Lane and Hazel Avenue, according to the Sacramento Metro Fire Department.
A pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart across the road and was struck by a motorcyclist.
The pedestrian was killed in the accident.
The rider suffered major injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
