1 Killed in Pedestrian Crash on SR 99 in Lynnwood
Lynnwood, Washington – A pedestrian was fatally hit by a Community Transit bus in Lynnwood early Wednesday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident happened shortly after 6 a.m. on SR 99 just north of 156th Street Southwest.
The WSP said a 34-year-old man was trying to cross the highway when he was hit by the bus.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The victim was reportedly wearing dark clothing the time of the crash.
The WSP is handling the investigation.
