1 Killed in Redwood City Crash on 280 Freeway at SR 92
San Mateo, California – At least one person died in a car accident that happened early Sunday morning in Redwood City.
The fatal crash was reported around 3 a.m. on southbound Interstate 280 and eastbound State Route 92, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A black Volkswagen is reported to have crashed into a concrete overpass barrier before veering back into the middle lane.
The Volkswagen stalled and was hit by a white Honda CRV.
One person in the Volkswagen died in the crash.
Two occupants of the white Honda were hospitalized with minor injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
