The fatal bicycle accident happened on Highway 74 at Taylor Road at around 5:14 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pickup truck reportedly struck a bicyclist on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
The truck driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
