San Francisco, California – A motorcyclist died after colliding with a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in San Francisco.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 2:29 p.m. on US 101 at Interstate 80.
A motorcyclist was struck by a white SUV, but the events leading up to the accident were not immediately determined.
CHP said the rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collision resulted in the closure of the southbound lanes of US 101 and the eastbound lanes of 80 Freeway.
