1 Killed in San Gregorio Crash on Highway 1 near Stage Road
San Gregorio, California – A man was killed in a car crash on Thursday afternoon in San Gregorio.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened at around 2 p.m. along Highway 1 near Stage Road.
An SUV reportedly collided with a GMC pickup truck on the highway in unclear circumstances. The GMC spun out of control after the crash and hit a bicyclist before crashing into a tree and rolled down an embankment.
The GMC driver was killed in the accident.
A passenger in the GMC suffered minor injuries in the accident.
The bicyclist suffered major injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation is underway.
